Ieuan Wyn

Mae Ieuan Wyn yn gyfansoddwr ac yn Gynhyrchydd a Pheiriannydd Cerddoriaeth o Gaerdydd. Astudiodd am radd BMus mewn Cerddoriaeth ym Mhrifysgol Bangor, lle ‘roedd llawer o ffocws ar gyfansoddi i gerddorfa, ensembles amrywiol a chyfansoddi ar gyfer Ffilm a Theledu o dan arweiniad Owain Llwyd. Yn ystod yr amser yma, sefydlodd ei hun fel peiriannydd cerddoriaeth, yn recordio a chynhyrchu caneuon a chyfansoddiadau ffrindiau. Wedi darganfod y gallu a’r mwynhâd ar gyfer cynhyrchu cerddoriaeth, aeth i Brifysgol Morgannwg i wneud MSc mewn Peirianneg a Chynhyrchu Cerddoriaeth. Mae adnoddau yr ATRiuM yn enwog drwy Gymru fel rhai o’r adnoddau addysgiadol gorau ar gael i astudio peirianneg cerddoriaeth. Ers graddio mae Ieuan wedi bod yn gweithio fel Recordydd Sain yng Nghaerdydd, ac wedi derbyn sawl comisiwn  i gyfansoddi i rhaglenni teledu, yn ogystal a chyfansoddiadau a threfniannau corawl.

Yn haf 2013, enillodd Ieuan Dlws y Cerddor yn Eisteddfod Genedlaethol Cymru yn Nimbych. Rhoddwyd y wobr, sef medal unigryw ynghyd a gwobr ariannol, am ei gyfansoddiad corawl di-gyfeiliant Cariad, sydd ar werth gyda chwmni cyhoeddi Gwynn.

Ieuan Wyn is a composer and Music Producer & Engineer from Cardiff. He studied BMus Music at Bangor University, where the focus of most of his studies was on composition for orchestra, various ensembles and composition for Film and Television under Owain Llwyd‘s guidance. During this time, he established himself as a music engineer, recording and producing songs for friends. After finding this passion, he went to the University of Glamorgan to study for an MSc in Music Engineering and Production. The ATRiuM’s facilities are renowned in Wales as some of the best educational facilities available in music engineering. Since graduating he has been working as a Sound Recordist in Cardiff and receives regular commissions to compose for television, as well as Choral arrangements and compositions.

In the summer of 2013, Ieuan won the prestigious Musician’s prize at the National Eisteddfod in Denbeigh. The award, which includes a unique medal and a financial prize, was given for his choral piece Cariad, now on sale via the Gwynn Publishing Company.
